Description

Tutorials referred to (in whole or in part):
- Photoshop Tutorial - How To Make a Vignette Effect (the second part)
- How to Create Cool Light Effects - Fire, Lightning, Iris, Nebula etc (for some reason, Color Dodge didn't work on this pic; so, I was stuck with the Screen blending mode!)
- Light Balls - Photoshop CS5 Beginner Tutorial (I used the Screen blending mode; I forgot the sparkly effect, LOL! Messed up and made the whole effect pretty bright...) :(
- Fantasy Lighting Photoshop Tutorial by PSD Box (the Lighting Effects feature)
- Photoshop Splatter / dispersion photomanipulation Tutorial (the main point of this whole picture!)
- Tutorial Seven | How To Make Optical Flares In Photoshop

Rendered in DAZ3D; extensive postwork in Photoshop CS6...

So, what's going on in this pic?
The Desi cougar summoned a shattering "light ball" (which I screwed up pretty badly...) (the cougar's like, "Don't mess with me, young zombie cub! I don't play games with whippersnappers like you!") at that half-Chinese zombie! The zombie girl was tryig to unleash some colorful lighting (which I screwed up with again), but since she got hit first, her lighting diffuses, missing the intended target ("Hhhhh! H--how could you do this to me?--you mean old cougar!"). I don't know what the sea temple is for; I guess it's up to your interpretation; probably something to do with the typical Ambient-Avalancher treasure-hunting plots...

Whew, this pic took a LONG time to render AND enhance. I rendered the background (using one of the sunset options in Skies of Economy and HDR ProSets Yosemite Pack One's transparent shadow-catching ground) as a BMP then hid the background/sky (keep the lights, though) and rendered that half-Chinese zombie and Anjali Beta seperately on a black background as PNGs. (Duplicate them, turn down their brightness to 0, and distort them to create a "shadow," LOL!) I then used all the tutorials above and added a soft light layer to give it a more dramatic feel...

By the way, I turned up the ambient (no pun intended, LOL) on the jewelry, swords, bayonet (didn't seem to do much), and the cougar's guns to make them stand out better; the ambient color is grey at 20-50% for most of them... I thought this would save me some time from enhancing the details in PS CS6 like I did in this pic (took 30 minutes or longer!)!
